We have been watching this area for the past 2 weeks with no sightings. But tonight as my husband was driving in the area he stopped and was lucky enough to spot in it in the few minutes he spent there.
It is a beautiful fall day about 75 degrees. The habitat has a few remaining Joe Pye, probably some golden rod and lots of Sunflowers.
This picture show the monarch (a shadowy shape) on showy milkweed.
