These two caterpillars had been removed along with milkweed stems/clippings placed in water in jars enclosed in two screened aquariums that will be utilized to isolate caterpillars once found and were collected during weeding one of my three properties as unnoticed eggs and had matured to Instar 3 stage caterpillars before being noticed. These examples are my first sightings for Monarch caterpillars this year.
