5:31pm, 77 degrees,partly cloudy, winds 7mph NW. There were 7 monarchs in the garden about 2pm. Down to 4 now. occasional clouds came over this pm and dropped about 30 seconds of rain. Those monarchs didn't budge, they just kept eating. They ate the usual zinnias, meadow blazing star, cosmos and new England Aster but were seen tasting marigolds and tiny calico aster.
