Monarch larva sighting 9/20/24 6-larva on two milkweed plants. At least 3 instars.

The garden went to seed once the township announced mosquito spraying in late Aug. that would kill the polinator culture for the year. This past week I was pleasantly surprised to find 6 caterpillars on two plants. The season is waning for milkweed in SE Pennsylvania. No bugs were on plants that were infested with oleander aphids.

Looking around I found fresh frass on several of my dozen plants.
