Sightings report image

Date: 09/14/2024

Number: 10

Whoa. Big change over for us today. We now seem to have 5 immature male, 4 adult female, and 1 juvenile ruby throats. For whatever reason most of them seem to prefer to nectar at the black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers, purple agastache, and lantana in our front yard. Nectaring is really intense today. I have to believe they are gearing up to leave. Quitting time is back to a more average time at 7:40 p.m. CDT.
