Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/22/2024

Number: 4

Definitely coming down to the end of ruby-throated hummingbird migration now. A friend of mine that lives several miles from me said his hummers left 3 days ago. This seems very early to me. We still have 3 immature male and 1 adult female ruby-throats. Much less nectaring today and much more perching. The evening was much cooler at 65°. This might account for a much earlier than expected quitting time of 7:20 p.m. CDT.
