Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 09/26/2024

Number: 60

Large numbers of monarchs nectaring heavily late this afternoon almost exclusively on New England Easter.

I easily caught and tagged 60 in about 2h. Many more flying around.

Today's warm weather (calm, sunny 22C) comes after 2 conservative days of cool and rainy weather.

All the monarchs I caught today looks like the migratory phenotype. I tested about 50 for OE and all were clean!
