Hummingbird Sighting
Sightings report image

Date: 09/26/2024

Number: 2

Whoa! I guess we weren't done with ruby-throated hummingbirds yesterday as I thought. 2 new migrating rthb's arrived from points north today. One was a juvenile and one an immature male. This was a nice surprise. They nectared heavily on cigar flower blooms and a little less at purple agastache. One did a tank up at a nectar feeder toward quitting time. Will have to see if any of them roosted nearby and show up to nectar tomorrow morning. High temperature was in high 70's and sunny skies. Quitting time this evening was 6:53 p.m. CDT.
