Sightings report image

Date: 09/26/2024

Number: 1

I was removing old Common milkweed manually after inspecting each for eggs and caterpillars from front yard.

This caterpillar was approx. 2 inches long and readily feeding on the most tender new leaves growing from an axil. Height when discovered— appr. 2.5 feet. Faeces count on leaves beneath - 8 plus more on ground between bluegrass blades of lawn.
22 plants left here, but more in back yard near honeysuckle.
