Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 09/26/2024

Number: 4

Unfortunately, I didn’t capture any photos but we saw four separate monarchs in our yard.

We have a very large yard with roses, carnations, sunflowers, and a variety of local wildflowers. Our house is on 9th street in Lawton, OK. There are always butterflies in our yard if it’s warm enough — admirals, painted ladies, buckeyes, swallowtails, and sometimes monarchs.

All four were flying when we saw them. A couple flew just over our heads and the other two were flying high in the air.
