Just when you think hummingbird season is done they surprise you. The immature male rthb that showed up last evening apparently roosted near by and showed up this morning to nectar from the black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers and taurenia. Not sure when he left. This evening the immature male in the picture above nectared at the black-and-blue salvias, cigar flowers, and purple agastache. And he took in a big gulp of nectar at this feeder. At first I thought this was an adult male but not quite. Very close though. He was very comfortable with the surroundings. Almost as if he's been here before! He is in great shape! Morning lows are in the 50's and high 70's for the high. Didn't get to observe quitting time.
