This immature male ruby-throated hummingbird has been around several days and provided us with an October sighting today. It's always my hope each year we make it past September with at least one hummer in the yard. This little guy was mostly nectaring at a feeder and not much on flowers except a purple agastache. We saw him at a feeder this evening. So hopefully we'll see him in the morning if he decides to leave. Weather turned much cooler today with the high temperature around 64°. This ruby-throat has spunk!
