Monarch Adult Sighted

Date: 09/27/2024

Number: 7

Did not attend the evening Monarch hike at the tip of Point Pelee National Park. However, I phoned the park and was told that seven individuals were sighted.
Conditions recorded at the Point Pelee National Park Environment Canada weather station at 18:00: temperature 20°C, dewpoint 16.8°C, humidex 25° C, humidity 82%, barometric pressure 98.68 kPa
Wind readings recorded at Harrow AAFC: 50° at 21 km/h
One can speculate that with the northeast wind all day, any Monarchs in the area would have just been carried across the lake to Ohio.
