I did not attend the evening Monarch hike at the tip of Point Pelee National Park, however, I telephoned the park and was told that 41 Monarchs were sighted.
Conditions recorded at the Point Pelee National Park Environment Canada weather station at 18:00: temperature 20.6°C, humidex 28°C, dewpoint 19.7°C, barometric pressure 98.9 kPa
wind report from Harrow AAFC: 60° at 10 km/h
Presumably, with a wind from the northeast all day, any other Monarchs in the area would have continued across to Ohio.
