There is no need to think it's a life or death situation. We have known this for years on this end. In migration time they had other food sources galore before a weather event. When Katrina hit new Orleans there were many at my location and all over Houston going to feeders for a quick fueling. They got re routed by that hurricane event this way and moved on within 2 days.
