My daughter's friend at school has 6 or more (I know of 6, was told an unscientific numbers or "tons more.") specimens. I know of 2 that have emerged, one September 27 and one October 2 (picture attached). One is still in chrysalis within a classroom jar and is estimated early October (5-6). Her friend says there are several more chrysalis at this time. My earliest siting of an adult monarch in my area was August 24.
