Observation time frame 5pm to 7pm.Temperature was 62 degrees and expected to drop to the high 40 degrees, partly cloudy skies, wind speed 11mph and gusting. At 5:50pm a lone female ruby-throated hummingbird possibly an overnighting migrator as she came to the feeders twice and each time after drinking flew into the dense tall evergreen hedge 20 feet away. As always, I will continue to leave my feeders hanging and with fresh sugar mixture nectar for two weeks after my last visual sighting to accommodate any late migrators I happen to not see.
