Close encounter with one hummingbird, we were gardening doing autumn clean ups and it approached us face to face abruptly. It was like it was flying by and then happened upon us and came and looked at us each directly in the face. It was neat and surprising. Our hummingbird feeder was in the back, so I don’t know if it was going there, but I do have an entire garden of still blooming flowers, that are certainly an attraction even if I don’t see the hummingbirds, any hummingbird flying by would see this garden full of colorful flowers .
I believe it was a female.
