We still have at least 8 juveniles with us, perhaps more. We are also welcoming travelers stop by nourishment, much to the dismay of our resident juveniles. We still have plenty of flowers blooming, including many different varieties of Salvia, Cuphea Vermillionaire, several varieties of Buddleia, Jewelweed, Tithonia, Cana, Mexican Petunia, several varieties of Porterweed, Dicliptera, Lantana, Fuchsia Gartenmeister, Tourenia, Anise Hyssop, several varieties of Shrimp Plant, Cleome, Turks Cap, as well as a few others I'm sure I'm forgetting. I listed plants that are particularly attractive to our hummingbirds. We have lots of other pollinators that enjoy them as well. They adore our Major Wheeler's Coral honeysuckle and we have several scattered, but they aren't blooming profusely right now. We're maintaining 10 feeders and all are getting plenty of traffic. Our little munchkins will continue to trickle out until mid October or so and we'll have travelers stop by through the end of the month. Seeing lots of other migrating birds as well. Observed a gorgeous immature male Rose breasted Grosbeak this morning at one of our seed feeders. It's a beautiful, bittersweet time of year. Godspeed to all of our little friends!
