A very fresh-looking monarch stayed in our zinnia garden for 10 minutes. When the leaves rustled, the monarch flew off but quickly returned.
It moved to different tall flowers and was busy sipping nectar. I didn’t see it with open wings so I don’t know it’s sex.
Observed around noon, bright & sunny day but very gusty, low 70s
