Monarch PEAK Migration
Sightings report image

Date: 10/06/2024

Number: 1

Huge, strong, healthy appearing female. No damage.
Nectaring on sunflowers. We have no milkweed on-site, but lots of sunflowers, one med. sized wooly butterfly bush, and two large (species unknown) butterfly bushes that look like vertical "Greg's Mist" type flowers that are budding out today and ready to bloom. Hope they hurry up, the plants are, by far, the biggest butterfly magnets at our local arboretum.

I will go drip hose on the soil in case she's thirsty.
