I had just finished reading the Journey North report today, and was envious of those in the States who were witnessing roosts. I went outside to water my flowers and almost fell over with excitement when I saw this visitor on the butterfly bush beside me. I hadn't seen one here in Southern Ontario, since Sept 29th. I sprinted inside, grabbed my camera and got a few photos of this male. About one hour later, a second arrived. I thought it might have been the same one; however, it was a female. Both were vibrant, and strong flyers, so please hold off the count in Mexico, as two more are on their way! Haha.
I hope this isn't a duplicate. I don't think my first submission went through. I should have waited until I calmed down. Haha
