Spotted 1 Monarch for just a second crossing the road, flying in a westerly direction.
End of a long, warm, dry spell (two or more weeks) with temps in the 70s or 80s daily and mostly mild nights. Winds have been alternating, sometimes from the south with a few north winds (as was the case on this day).
Might be my last monarch spotting of the season......
(you never know the last time :)
