Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/27/2024

Number: 4

After three days of no hummers, I awoke to the welcome sound of buzzing as a ruby-throat visited the feeder outside my bedroom window after a rough night of high winds and pouring rain brought by Hurricane Helene. As the morning progressed the original hummer was joined by three more.Maybe they were headed south and were blown back by the hurricane? In any case it's such a joy to have them back again.
