Our last hummingbird of the season stopped by today, and we believe that it was a passer-through. We captured this amusing image of the bird trying to pollinate a metal hummingbird, and we speculate that this bird was a juvenile. Our resident hummers were all gone by September 15th, and since then, we’ve had a visitor stop by on its journey south every third or fourth day. Safe journey tiny birds, and we look forward to your return next spring!
