Much to my surprise, delight, relief, a whole bunch of Monarchs were roosting on the north side of three trees tonight. Stout south wind most of the day, but mild temperatures. At least 50 in this cropped photo with the full photo taking in a long branch that is covered. No tagging today. All were roosted by 6PM.
