Released three female Monarchs today which merged from the chrysalis state yesterday. Held off releasing them at that time as weather forecast was for temperatures to drop to 35 degrees by morning. When I released them on 10/17/2024 the temperature was 59 degrees with a 15 mile wind. These Monarchs were reported when collected in the caterpillar stages earlier so shouldn't be added to the total for this years' count.
