A fourth cold front overspread the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions,bringing cool to cold nights.This caused eight side by side red maples,a native species ,to turn red in a Conservation Resource Zone.About 40% of their leaves had turned.They were quite beautiful.The Frederick Planning Commission is holding a hearing on the Preliminary Plat/Final Site-Preliminary Forest Plan for this area at a date to be determined.A fifth cold front is on the way.
