I found 5 black swallowtail caterpillars on the leftover carrot tops in my garden.

A couple weeks ago I found 8-10 black swallowtail caterpillars in the same area. They have all made their chrysalis.

I can't remember ever finding butterfly caterpillars this late in the season.
