A last-minute Monarch, South winds must have blown this straggler off course. Showed up with a handful of Sulphurs, Painted Ladies and Skippers. After feeding on the nectar rich Verbesina encelioides for a couple days they left on a breezy North wind on the 29th. Latest Monarch sighting ever. Glad they got out of here before the hard freeze we had last night. Happy Halloween!
