I released two hand-raised monarchs today. I raised them both from eggs. The one pictured was a small caterpillar that made a small chrysalis and emerged early. I gave her some pineapple juice before releasing her into the garden. Her proboscis was working perfectly. The other monarch was full sized. These were my last two releases for 2024.
