I have a garden with various milkweed species and I came home to an entire common milkweed plant decimated and several whorled milkweed plants also stripped of their leaves. No caterpillars have been spotted, but the sheer number of plants eaten leads me to believe that there was caterpillar activity. My last known butterflies emerged from their pupal stages 10/5
