I saw two Monarchs at my house and 1 Monarch at Hopi Elementary School, which is a short distance away. This is the same location where I saw one last year (near the lantana in the SW corner of the school). One of the Monarchs at my house is a male (see photo). I could not get a good look or a photo of the other two. There were 4 Queens at my house and they fought continuously with the Monarchs for possession of the Ageratum. The Monarchs appeared around 3:50pm, sunny day, 78F, no breeze. Note the last two Monarchs at my house had not been seen for more than 4 days so I feel confident that these are two new ones. No caterpillars seen.
