An eighth cold front has overspread the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic Regions, bringing cool to cold weather overnight.Tonight the temperatures will drop to 30 F.This has caused three conitiguous river birches,a native species,to turn bright red in a Resource Conservation Zone. The first river birch turned 80% and the other two turned 50% bright red. They also put forth their dark purple seeds. All this was quite beautiful. The Frederick Planning Commission will hold a hearing this evening at 6 pm for the Preliminary Plat/Final Site-Preliminary Forest Plan.
