I usually expect clusters of Monarchs around my birthday in mid-October, here in Austin, TX. This year, I did not see that. Instead, I have only random sightings of lone monarchs, in very sparse numbers.
We continue to have very warm weather (80s-90s), and many flowers still blooming as a result. I would expect my flowers to be covered with Monarchs, and instead they are a rare sighting.
