We saw over 50 monarchs at Google today. 40-50 we’re roosting in a cluster of redwood trees in an area where we regularly count and report monarchs. It was a clear sunny day and the butterflies were flying about, roosting and a few were nectaring on various flowering plants. They preferred the trees to roost that were in a tight grouping rather than the single trees.
