Signs of Fall

Date: 12/02/2024

The Mid-Atlantic Region is experiencing an Arctic outbreak with subfreezing lows and dangerous wind chills. This has caused a stand of Bald Cypress trees,a species native to Maryland,ofF I-70 West on State Highway land,to change color. Two of the trees turned golden, and two more turned orange. These were quite beautiful. The Bald Cypress is one of only a few deciduous conifers in North America.
