My husband and I are snowbirds in Coastal Georgia in winter. I’ve been surprised to see monarch butterflies here recently.

I saw two on Saint Simon’s Island a couple days ago. I also saw some on Jekyll Island.

I didn’t think a lot about it until I heard an article on Public Radio recently about monarchs wintering in South Carolina and Georgia.
