I'm really bothered why the hummingbird is just quickly zooming in not perching or going to ery abundant blooming purple gurantica. . A week before Dec. 25th a splotchy orange back Rufous zoomed in front of office window. But didn't nectar on blooming Hamelia there. Took off way out.

Then Dec. 26th while sitting out under pergola trying to spot it, I only saw a hummingbird fly quickly into maple trees, trying to land but took off.

The weather has been real unstable with weekly storms and hot weather Rufous don't like. Jan 7 last year a Rufous came to kitchen window feeder for first time.
