Of the 4 chrysalis, the two in the attached picture did not develop properly. I have seen this same type of discoloration before in chrysalis that are later in the summer. Two are still hanging, and so far look fine. I found another caterpillar on the swamp milkweed. It looks to be halfway in its development to a chrysalis.

We had a heavy rain storm and the temperature is currently 62. It’s going to cool down this week.
