My daughter found the Monarch in the grass around 12p today 1/3/25. She put her in our garden with the cleome flowers thinking it would eventually fly away on it’s own. My husband found it still there. We are unsure if it is ill or in cold shock because our nighttime temperature is 34F and our high temp is 66F right now.
We have taken the Monarch in for tonight and given it a banana and a heat lamp in hopes it will fly away tomorrow to head south.
