Number: 1

Rufous was on small high view feeder a lot yesterday until 5 p.m. dusk. Than I waited until after 5:30 p.m. to change out, set up weather dome and larger feeder. Be ready to add heater if it gets here before artic blast. We do have incadesent Christmas lights on other kitchen window 4 port feeder that doesn't freeze up. Orher past overwintering Rufous always went to kitchen feeder in cold snaps early morning.

Thought the change out would upset male Rufous but he came to sit on twig below the usual time 7 a.m. after I previously switched to larger high view feeder at 6:45 a.m. in the dark. He went to switched feeder 3 times.

Photo is 8:50 a.m. and we have 4 potted salvias that need to be brought in today. The artic deal starts moving down south tonight slowly.
