I got up at 6:15 and plugged it in. Rufous came at 8:45 a.m. like usual when he finished doing arials. Off desert willow tree twig outback above purple salvia. So far cold is not a bother to him. Wind issues, 32 degrees right now. Feels like 24 in 20 mph wind gust.

The feeder heater arrived yesterday afternoon but couldn't attach to feeder until after Rufous quit going to feeder at 5:15 p.m. This definitely is an experience like what y'all have to do in east with rubythroats in cold spring weather. A worry. Be glad when our artic deal is over by 23rd.
