This morning I saw one male RRBB at our black-oil-seed feeders under one of our crabapple trees. He sang -- first RRBB song I have heard since last year. Later, I heard but did not see another male singing by one of our wooded creeks. He was singing in response to our first male.
Note: I actually first saw our first male RRBB around 02/14/2025, but I've recorded the first official sighting as 02/25 because we've also had a common grackle at our farm, and I needed to be sure who was whom, since snowy conditions in mid-Feb made ID difficult.
