Sightings report image

Date: 03/30/2025

Number: 1

This is a follow-up photo to my Monarch Adult Sighted report. This is one of the male monarchs seen today as he nectars from a thistle (Cirsium horridulum). The yellow and pink thistles are providing the monarchs (and other bees, butterflies, and beetles) with an abundant nectar source. Unsightly with their scary thorns, but true nectar fountains and always a monarch favorite.
