First robin (male) seen this year - in our pine tree, then on roof, April 2 evening.
Next day, still here, hopping on small patch of bare ground. Almost all the rest of the ground in Rhein was still covered with up to 20 in. of snow on the level (not counting snowbanks and drifts).
