Barn Swallow (FIRST sighted)

Date: 04/11/2025

Number: 6

They must have arrived in the night or early AM hours since they were not here yesterday. Our stable is closed up, which is where they nest, but our Great Pyrenees had muscled the big heavy slider door this morning, which is under construction, by 12 inches, searching for chicken eggs. When I went inside, two swallows were on the rafters already having flown through the 12 inch opening. I opened all the doors! Other swallows were already flying around searching for insects.
