At around 12:30 my daughter spotted our first ruby throated hummingbird, a male, on our northwest-facing feeder…not the one we’d usually expect to see our first visitor on. Shortly after that sighting, she saw one doing a pendulum display on the southeast side of the house. I can’t be certain, but I believe they were two separate birds. Very exciting! I think this matches our earliest recorded first sighting. The hummingbirds are bringing us a very welcome warm spell too.
