While pulling sticky weed near an area that we had seen milkweed this season, I startled a brightly colored monarch. It flew initially to a nearby tree but eventually made its way to a milkweed patch not far away. It was overcast and a little windy but it hung around the milkweed for about 10 minutes before flying away.
