18 eggs were sighted around 2:00 p.m. on Asclepias sullivantii. The eggs were laid in a calm area of our property in a rehabilitated bed that is mulched and only contains A. sullivantii and a few ground hugging weeds. All the eggs were in the sunny area of the bed.
Checked other milkweed species on our property and A. syriaca on the adjacent state highway shoulder, but did not spot any other eggs.
Have not seen any Monarch butterflies yet.
